General

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no paid tier and no per-server fee.

What data does it keep?

Your server's settings, moderation cases, shift totals, ticket records, application answers and CAD data, so the features work. The privacy policy lists all of it and how to have it removed.

Is my server-key safe?

It is stored for your server only, used only to talk to ER:LC for that server, and never shown again. Disconnect it from the dashboard at any time.

ER:LC

"ER:LC rejected this server's key"

The key was regenerated in ER:LC, or copied wrong. Copy it again from your private server settings and run /seterlc.

In-game commands do nothing

The server owner has to open the link from /erlc authorize once. Until then the bot can read your server but not run commands in it.

Commands are slow when lots happen at once

ER:LC allows one command every 5 seconds per server. County Control queues them so none are lost, so a burst takes a little longer to arrive.

The CAD

I can't see my department

You need one of the department's personnel roles in Discord. The sign-on screen lists the departments you can't use and says why. Ask an admin to give you the role.

"Go on duty" says I'm not in the game

On servers with in-game duty rules you have to be in the server on the right team: police for police and sheriff, fire or EMS for fire, DOT for DOT. The CAD reads the player list every few seconds, so give it a moment after you join or change team. Also check that you verified the same Roblox account you are playing on.

My unit number is wrong

It is the callsign you wear in-game. Change it in ER:LC and the CAD follows within a few seconds.

Units aren't getting messages in-game

Check three things: in-game delivery is on (CAD Settings), the owner has authorized in-game commands (/erlc authorize), and the unit is in the game right now. Units who are not in the game only get the message in the CAD.

The CAD looks out of date after an update

Reload the page. The CAD checks for a new version every time it loads.
