Set up County Control
Add the bot, connect your ER:LC private server and post your first session panel. It takes about five minutes.
Before you start
You need two things:
- Manage Server or Administrator in your Discord server.
- The server-key from your ER:LC private server. In ER:LC, open your private server's settings and copy the key under API.
You don't need an IP whitelist. County Control is registered with ER:LC as a public application, so the server-key is all it needs.
The five steps
- Add the bot
Invite County Control to your server. It asks for Administrator because moderation, panels and anti-nuke all manage members and channels.
- Connect ER:LC
Run
/seterlcand paste your server-key. The bot checks it straight away and tells you if ER:LC rejected it. - Authorize in-game commands
The server owner runs
/erlc authorizeand opens the link once. After that the bot can run commands in your server: announcements, private messages, kicks and timers. - Pick your channels
Run
/setupfor a checklist of what is done and what is missing, or choose channels and roles on the dashboard. - Start a session
Run
/ssu voteto open a start-up vote, or/ssu startto go straight to a live panel. Post the always-updated panel with/sessions.
/mybot shows what County Control is doing in your server and what is left to set up.The dashboard
Everything you can set with a command you can also set on the dashboard. Sign in with Discord and you see every server where you have Manage Server or Administrator. Channels and roles are picked by typing, messages are reworded with a live preview, and changes save with one button.
The dashboard pages:
| Page | What it is for |
|---|---|
| CAD | Opens the dispatch console for this server. |
| Departments | Your agencies: who can sign on as each one, what they can do in the CAD, ranks and rosters. |
| ER:LC | The server-key, log channels and 911 call channel. |
| Sessions, Wording, Branding | Session panels, every line of their text, and your own banners. |
