Connect your ER:LC server
Save your private server's API key and approve County Control once, so sessions, player counts and in-game commands work.
County Control talks to your ER:LC private server through its server-key. With the key saved it can read player counts and the join code. After the server owner approves it once, it can also run in-game commands like :shutdown, priority timers and kicks.
Before you start
- You need the Administrator permission in your Discord server.
- You need the server-key. In ER:LC, open your private server's settings and copy the key under API.
- No IP whitelist is needed. County Control is registered with ER:LC as a public app.
Steps
1. Save the key
Type /seterlc and paste your key into the key box. Use the slash command, not t!seterlc, so the key is never posted as a normal message.
You see: "ER:LC key saved and working, connected to Your Server (12/40 players)." Under it is a section called One-time step to enable remote commands with a link.
2. Have the server owner approve it
Send that link to whoever owns the ER:LC private server. They open it while signed in to Roblox and approve. This is done once per key.
You see: nothing changes in Discord straight away. Run /setup and the ER:LC authorization row turns to Done once ER:LC reports the approval.
3. Check it works
Type /players.
You see: "In-game players (12/40)" with everyone grouped by team, staff first. If nobody is in-game it says "Nobody is in the server right now."
Change it later
- Show the authorize link again:
/erlc authorize. - Send kills, joins and in-game commands to a channel:
/erlclog channel. - Post in-game moderator calls to a channel:
/erlclog modcalls. - Give in-game mod and admin from Discord roles:
/erlc ingameperms(Administrator only).
If something goes wrong
- "Key saved, but ER:LC didn't accept it just now." The key is wrong or was regenerated. Copy it again from ER:LC and run
/seterlcagain. Regenerating the key in ER:LC turns the old one off at once. - Player counts work but
/ssu shutdownor/erlc commandfails. The owner has not approved the link yet. Run/erlc authorizeand send them the link again. - "No ER:LC key is set here yet." Do step 1 first.
- "That server-key doesn't look right." Something extra got pasted (a space, a quote mark). Paste only the key.
