Write your own Game Server Information panel
Replace the standard sessions panel with your own wording and layout, while the player count, join code and status keep updating by themselves.
If you want the sessions panel to read exactly like your old "Game Server Information" message, write it yourself with /session layout. You type the whole message once, with placeholders like {players} where the live numbers go. County Control fills them in and keeps that message up to date.
Before you start
- Do Post a live sessions panel first, so a live panel exists.
- You need the Administrator permission.
- Use the slash command. The editor is a pop-up form, and pop-ups only open from slash commands.
Steps
1. Open the editor
Type /session layout.
You see: a pop-up called "Your session panel" with a big text box. The first time, it already holds a starter layout you can edit:
## {server}
Welcome! Sessions are announced in this channel. Grab {role} to be pinged when one starts.
---
### In-Game Status
> **Status:** {status}
> **Server Owner:** {owner}
> **Players:** {players}/{max}
> **Staff:** {staff}
> **Queue:** {queue}
> **Join Code:** {codelink}
-# Last updated {updated}
2. Write your message
Change the text however you like. Keep the words in curly brackets where you want live values. A line with only --- on it becomes a divider line. Normal Discord formatting works: ## for a big heading, **bold**, > for a quote bar, -# for small grey text.
3. Save it
Press Submit.
You see: a private preview of your panel filled with example numbers (12/32 players, code ABC123), and "Saved." under it. Your live panel switches over within a few seconds.
4. Check the live panel
Go to your sessions channel.
You see: your own wording, with the real player count and join code. The Start session and Session Role buttons stay under it.
Make it yours

- Edit it again: run
/session layoutagain. Your current text is already in the box. - See it without changing anything:
/session layout action:Preview. - Hide the buttons under your layout:
/session elements part:Buttons under your own layout on:False. - Add a banner image on top:
/session banner slot:Live session panel. - Go back to the standard panel:
/session layout action:Turn off.
If something goes wrong
- "The editor opens from the slash command." You typed
t!session layout. Use/session layout. - A placeholder shows as text, like
{player}. It is misspelled. Copy it from the table above. - The end of my message is cut off. A panel can hold about 3,800 characters once the placeholders are filled in. Shorten it.
- Nothing changed in my sessions channel. No live panel was posted yet. Run
/sessions. - I want the old panel back.
/session layout action:Turn off.
